Copywriter Michel Fortin released a 52-page document today outlining his predictions for the future of online sales copy. In the document, Fortin shares an analysis of the trends he's seeing "that’s going to affect online copywriting in significant ways."

Michel Fortin Launches CopywritersBlog.com

Copywriter Michel Fortin has been seeing a trend in blogs that have multiple authors. Inspired by this trend, Fortin has launched a new blog whose contributing authors are all respected copywriters -- including David Garfinkel, Gary Halbert, John Carlton, Ray Edwards, and many others. "Called 'Copywriters Blog' at CopywritersBlog.com, this new blog is written not by one or two, but by close to 12 copywriters", says Fortin.

On the same post as his announcement, Fortin also includes a list of the copywriting blogs from his RSS reader that he visits frequently. "I highly suggest that you visit the following blog and subscribe," Fortin recommends, "at least to their RSS feeds."

Michel Fortin on How to Effectively Use Pressure in Your Copy

In his recent blog post, copywriter Michel Fortin offers pointers on the appropriate use of pressure in your copy. As Fortin elaborates, "Never pressure people to PUSH them into purchasing. Instead, use pressure to PREVENT them from procrastinating." Fortin continues by adding, "As the saying goes, 'People don't know how much they want something until it's about to be taken away from them.' Look at it this way: if you give a chance for your prospects to procrastinate, they will." Fortin also emphasizes the need to have a genuine 'reason why' to back up your use of pressure, and offers suggestions on how to maintain your credibility in the process.
