This site started out of a frustration from having dozens of e-mail newsletters arriving in my Inbox daily and being faced with the daunting task of sifting through all of them each day to find the 20% of useful nuggets buried deep within them.

I hated all the time I was spending reading e-mails, and I searched high and low for an Internet Marketing news aggregator that would do all this legwork for me. With such a site, I could stay up-to-speed with the latest tools, tips and current events in short order and reclaim a portion of my time to do something more productive. I found some blogs that sometimes gave tips here and there, or were focused on a certain discipline in Internet Marketing, but nothing comprehensive to our industry.

I had toyed around with the idea of creating my own news and community site for over three years. My wife constantly prodded me to go ahead and build this site, and she even volunteered to sift through all the e-mails for me and post the “good stuff” to the site. She is excellent at keeping a pulse on the world of Internet Marketing, and I frequently learn about new happenings, tools and techniques from her diligent research. Even with her generous offer, I still put off starting the site. The excuse I kept telling myself was the vision I had for this site extended far beyond just a news ticker blog and would require a significant time investment on my part in custom programming to make it happen. Because of this time commitment, I kept this site on the back burner to pursue my other business ventures.

Fast forward to April 2006. I mentioned the vision for this site to a software developer friend of mine. He was very interested in the concept and was willing to partner up on building the site. I now had run out of excuses. The site’s time had come.

What you see here is a site whose content is determined by its community -- fellow internet marketers like yourself. Use it to quickly and easily see the news our community has found the most useful and informative. When you find a story that's useful, cast your vote and share the good news with others.
